There is a lot of catching up to do after returning from one of the largest home furnishings markets in the world. First on my to do list is to tell you how exciting it was to meet the designers and bloggers who came to Atlanta to talk about trends and inspirations for 2012. Steve and Brooke Giannetti who publish the blog, Velvet & Linen, shared the spotlight about their passion for creating beautiful homes. After growing up around his father's ornamental plaster studio, Steve, an architect, developed his love of romantic interiors. Along with his wife, Brooke, an interior designer, the duo married rustic and classic styles by using a chalky palette of found objects, colors and textures to create their signature style. In 2011, they published their beautiful book Patina Style, illustrating their love of collecting. Steve and Brooke also showed us a rendering of Patina Farm, their new home they plan to build in Ojai, Ca.
