It's confirmed. Two friends, who own businesses in interior design and lighting, and I are going to Market Week at the America's Mart in Atlanta on Saturday and Sunday this week. I can hardly wait to blog about the newest home furnishing trends and products. Today when I was looking at the week's events, I spotted some of my favorite design bloggers at two special events. Veranda magazine is sponsoring a program featuring the very talented husband and wife duo, Steve and Brooke Giannetti of Velvet and Linen. They will talk about their beautiful photography in their book, Patina Style. The Giannettis are successful using social marketing and blogging for communicating with their clients. The couple offers online design consultations and furnishings on their blog. Another exciting presentation will feature some of the best bloggers of interior design. Heather Clawson of Habitually Chic, Maxwell Gilliamham-Ryan of Apartment Therapy, and Christiane Lemieux of Dwellstudio. Their tips on getting published on a blog, and the instant increase it can bring to design businesses will be timely. Social media sites, Twitter and Facebook, combined with blogs have a lot of potential to give designers and stores a bigger market presence.
